Every coffee brings a buzz. But Mozzo is truly uplifting, delivering social equity to people who need it the most.

That's why in 2015, we set up the Community2Community Fund™ to ensure every purchase of Mozzo coffee delivers a positive impact for the coffee-growing communities. The C2C Fund's core pillars are:

Equity: giving farmers better control, resources, conditions, fair wages...
Education: empowering the marginalised and awarding opportunities.
Environment: Contribution to, not harming, the natural habitat and coffee ecosystem.

Investment goes directly to our partner cooperatives who take the lead on how the money can be best put to use. C2C Fund™ investment most recently built the first-ever maternity clinic on Idjwi Island in partnership with the female-led cooperative Rebuild Women’s Hope (RWH).

The C2C Fund is our way of ensuring every purchase of Mozzo coffee delivers a positive impact throughout the coffee value chain. We contribute to the Fund with every cup, bag and capsule sold.

We track the accumulated funds every month and as it builds up it gets invested back. Working with our small farm cooperatives to identify partner community projects, asking them where and how the Fund will have most impact, from their perspective. No quick fixes, only sustainable, long-term impact.

REBUILD WOMEN’S HOPE (RWH), IDJWI ISLAND, DRC
Determined to create a meaningful progression in the wider community, RWH identified the urgent need for a maternity and paediatric clinic on the south of Idjwi island, home to some 250, 000 people with no (at the time) medical provision. Mozzo committed its entire C2C Fund™ contributions for 2020 and 2021 to building the clinic and funding the start-up operation.

MUUNGANO COOPERATIVE, KINYEZIERE, DRC
